100 mile diet.

I have been watching the 100 mile diet on planet green and have become really inspired.

We already get our produce delivered from local farms bi-weekly. And shop for our meat from a local butcher, our dairy from local farms, and our bread from local bakerys.

I think the hardest thing will be cutting out all the packaged stuff we eat, but I think it will be good for both of us.

So....after the holidays we are going to atempt this for atleast 30 days.

Today is officially one week since I started this crazy diet. I'm not sure if I should could the first 2 days, since those days you are encouraged to gorge yourself with high fat foods and then yesteday I cheated because it was my birthday, Even with those 2 factors I lost 5 lbs, Which is pretty exciting. It's not had at all and even giving myself the shots isn't to terrible. I really hope I can keep this up at least to get through the next 20lbs I need to loose.

Things on my mind...

Slowly things are coming together for the wedding, today we approved the final mock-up of the save-the-dates and they will go into print tomorrow. Tomorrow I will be working on he customized address labels and hopefully the florist I meet with earlier in the week will have a price quote for us.
Sometimes I get really overwhelmed with all the small details of the wedding that it's nice to know a lot of the big stuff has been taken care of.

I have been getting a lot of dentistry work lately, so much I just might as well have signed over all my unemployment checks for the last month to my dentist.  I have 2 wisdom teeth that still have to come out. :(

Stevens parents want to meet my parents at an engagment party. Stevens parents are totally great...my parents...eh. I'm nervouse they won't like my parents thus not liking me and it is really stressing me out.

I have started to miss the city a lot and soon Steven will start working full time and I will probably miss the indepence a city allows. There's a million things to do in the city alone, but out here it feels a lot more limiting.

HCG diet

At a wedding expo I entered a drawing to win...something. Later that night I was called by the representitive saying I had won.
I had won a free 26 day program on the HCG diet with the doctors at their med-spa. I did a lot of research, read a lot of forums and spoke to a doctor.

With that being said, even though it is concidered conterversial,...since it is free, and I would love to lose weight more rapidly I am going to try it out. Giving my self injections isn't very appealing, but think I can handle it okay.

I decided to start this program after my birthday, so I don't have to decline any invites to dinner by our families.

500 calories a day and giving myself shots everyday should be...interesting.

It is 104 degrees in my house. Time to hang out at the casino.

This is funny. It never goes above 100 here. so the news stations couldn't fit a 3 digit number on the forcast today.

before they "fixed it...

after...

A recore breaking high temperture here today.

The only stories on the news are "how to cook your food outdoors with only the suns heat" and OMFG! there are no fans or AC units anywhere! we're all going to die!

Steven's trying to make a homemade AC unit with the fan, a aquarium hose, a cooler and some other stuff. :)

Bang Bang shrimp

I have been strickly dieting lately we have made a pack not to eat out at all except for social situations. We used to eat out at least 2 meals a day.
We have started to miss some of our favorite dishes from restarunts like crispy melon shirmp from PF Changs, bangbang shrimp from bonefish and wasabi grilled cheese from bleu bistro to name a few.

Tonight we started searching for copycat recipes and after a lot of online debate we made from what we thought was the closest recipe to Bonefish's bangbang shrimp.

It was amazingly good. If we keep up this great cooking there wll be no need to eat out.

Wii active has been kicking my ass. I am incredibly surprised at how much of a work out I get from a "game".
